ジョン・ピザレリは、1960年4月6日ニュージャージー州パターソン生まれ。7弦ギターの名手である父バッキー・ピザレリのほか、姉もジャズ・ギタリストという“ギター一家”で育つ。10代も後半になると父親と頻繁に共演するようになり、80年代は、ニューヨーク近辺で大々的に演奏する機会が増え、後半になると世界的地位を確立。90年代に入ると歌手としても定期的にライヴ出演。91年にBMGレコードに移籍し、弟でベーシストのマーティン、ピアノのレイ・ケネディとトリオを結成。ソロの他、アーティストのサポートもこなす実力派。 |
